SERR 2021 AWARD
UNIPV wins the SERR 2021 award, in the national category of Public Administrations!
On March 30, the award ceremony for the European Week for Waste Reduction 2021 was held in Rome, at the Ministry for Ecological Transition, and the university’s GLOBEC office took part in it.
The National Promoting Committee of the EWWR had selected the event organized by the University of Pavia as a finalist (in the public administration category) for the Italian Awards.
The event, held in November 2021, with the title “SERRiously Sustainable“, was promoted by the collaboration between GLOBEC – Center for Global and Strategic Engagement and OSA – Office for Sustainable Actions, in collaboration with a series of important local players: Plastic Free, STEP ESN Pavia, Action University and the local group of the Zero Waste network. The event was also attended by the representatives of the SfusoDiffuso project, an initiative of young people from the Municipality of Calice Ligure that promotes more ecological and sustainable actions and behaviors.
This synergy proved to be decisive in involving students and the academic community, raising their awareness of the issue of waste reduction, and the selection board identified the key point that determined the victory of UNIPV in the competition among the public Administrations at the national level!
